Meet the Composer
My name is Christopher Dawes, I'm 60 years old, I'm married to Emily Dawes and I have four children; Their ages are 15, 17, 19 and 21. I serve as the Lead Pastor of Valley Christian Church Assembly of God, an exciting, ethnically diverse congregation that exists to Know Jesus and Make Him Known.

I have served as the Lead Pastor for the past 8 years, and previously I served on the VCC Staff in a variety of positions, but most notably as the Youth and Music Pastor. During my time in this Staff position, I composed, directed and staged 8 original full length Theatrical Musical Productions as an outreach to our community.
​
These musical productions were well received by the people of our community and according to our records, nearly 20,000 people attended.
The last major production we staged at the Chester Fritz Auditorium was "The Passion" in 2004. From 2005 to the present, I have written and arranged smaller seasonal children's productions performed at Valley Christian Church, but now I feel it is time to debut "Zacchaeus: The Musical" which has been creatively evolving in my heart and mind for almost 6 years.

There have been such amazing advances in technology since 2004, and I am excited to see what those new tools can bring to Zacchaeus. My big dream is to debut Zacchaeus at Valley Christian Church with two weekend matinee performances. I also plan to live stream the production for anyone in the world to watch online.

My prayer is that in two performances, I will reach far more people than all the musical productions of the past-combined. Please pray with me for this dream to become reality! Thanks!
