Why Zacchaeus?

The famous theologian Sir Paul McCartney once said "Some people want to rid the world of silly love songs...I look around me and I see it isn't so...oh no." Some feel that musical theater is kind of silly, and they are probably right. Most people don't spontaneously burst into song in perfect harmony with other perfect strangers, or do seemingly perfectly choreographed impromptu dances in the normal course of their day.

However, when we look around the world, we see that by and large, people LOVE musical theater and musical productions, no matter how silly they might be! And they are laying down lots of hard earned cash just to be in the room where it happens. Inside joke.

So, what does this have to do with Zacchaeus: The Musical? Zacchaeus was composed to go toe to toe with any secular "silly" musical that people love and move them with the music and the story line. But even more importantly, the timeless Message of God's love for the unlovely comes through loud and clear.

If this difficult musical production is performed well by the cast, anyone who who attends and loves silly musicals will LOVE this show. But while they are enjoying an original new silly musical, they will be introduced again, or for the first time, to the God who loves them so much that He came looking for them.

Lots of Silly Musicals are performed here
